Frank was born on 8 February 1917, attended West Mersea School, and left school on 2 April 1931. His father was also Frank, from Macclesfield, born 1888. His mother was Grace Martha [ maiden name not known, born 13 Sept 1874 ] and the 1939 Register shows Grace. M. Kinder and Frank Kinder living at 3 Lawn Villa, Mill Road, West Mersea. Frank is a 'Carpenter and Joiner'.

Commonwealth War Graves Commission record Frank as killed 18 Feb 1945 age 28. He was husband of Ada Kinder, S.R.N., S.C.M., of New Ferry, Bebington, Cheshire

Liverpool Echo 6 March 1945 page 3, in "Killed on Active Service" records:
KINDER - Feb, 1945, killed in action, Western Europe, aged 27 years, SEYMOUR FRANK KINDER, dearly-loved husband of Ada Kinder (née Farnworth) and loved only son of Mrs Kinder, West Mersea, Essex (Nobly he died).

The 7th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders was deployed to France in June 1944. It saw action in Operation Epsom during the Battle of Normandy, and then served in North-West Europe.

1945 and 1945 Electoral Rolls have Grace M. Kinder living at The Bushes, Colchester Road, West Mersea.
1955 Electoral Roll has Grace M. Kinder living at Hermon, Colchester Road.
She died Second Quarter, 1961.
