1.   In the Name of god Amen the third day of Apriell in the
2.   second yeare of the Raygne of our Soveragn Lord King Charles
3.   and in the yeare of our lord god 1626 &c I Richard Ballard
4.   of Westmersea in the Countie of Essex Fisherman being sicke
5.   in bodie but of sounde and p[er]fitt mynde and memorie thanks
6.   be given to god for it doe ordayne and make this my last will
7.   and testament in mannor and forme following first and
8.   principallie I bequeath my sowle to Allmighty god \who gave it/ and \my/ bodie
9.   to be buryed wheare it shall please god to Apoynt &c It[em] I give
10.   and bequeath unto Ann my wife All my \two/ Tenaments and
11.   lands Lying and being in Little Rayne with the apurtenances dur\ing/
12.   the tyme and terme of s?ixtene whole yeares towards the bringing
13.   up of Anna my daughter untill she com to the full agge
14.   of jtie (ie 21) years &c It[em] I give and bequeath Unto Anna Ballard
15.   my daughter All my two Tenaments abovesayd with the Apur
16.   tenances to hir and hir Eyers for ever and my mynde is that
17.   Anna my daughter shall Enter into and Inioye the sayd
