Search for Image ID ""Image 6 SUSAN at Tollesbury. Launched in 1948 and named after Susan Blott who was born June of that year. Designer and builder unknown. She was a trawler and probably pitch pine on oak. After WW2 and the demise of ESSEX MAID, John Blott was told that he could not get materials to buy a yacht in post-war restrictions, so she was built as an updated and more luxurious version of a traditional Essex Smack, and was registered in Maldon as fishing boat MN29.
