Mona Quick was from Shoreditch - her daughter called at the Museum June 2014. From our records, Brian was able to tell Mrs Ferrall that her mother lodged with David Green's mother in Suffolk Ave and worked at Bower Hall Farm and probably other farms on the island. We have several pics of the Land Army girls with local lads on the beach etc. but Mona does not appear in any of these and Mrs Ferrall said her mother was not keen on the local lads!
