 Rowbotham's tanker RUDDERMAN passing Wivenhoe. These small tankers would bring about 200 tons of petrol up to Colchester Hythe, would discharge, turn, and be away on the same tide.

RUDDERMAN was built in Holland in 1934, 290 tons. She was broken up Preston in 1967 following an explosion at Ince.
