A newspaper cutting from Essex Chronicle 24 September 1943 is titled "Six Tollesbury Men in One Warship." "At least six men from Tollesbury have served on board the auxiliary vessel HMS MALAHNE. Leading-Seaman R.W. Leavett and Seaman E. Wash, peace time friends, have been in the ship since she was commissioned early in 1940. The other Tollesburians, Leading-Seaman C.R. Knights, Seaman J. Frost, Seaman I. Clark and Steward R. Frost, are now serving elsewhere." [ IA004811 ]
A week later, another article reported that in fact, a total of twelve Tollesbury men had served in HMS MALAHNE. [ IA004812 ]

MALAHNE was built Camper and Nicholson, 1937. Still in existence, though much restored.
