Brickhouse Corner at the top of High Street North, West Mersea, looking a little east of South. Greenwood, belonging to Fid Harnack left of lower centre. Aerial photograph in the sale documents for Greenwood around 1983.

The photo was in an envelope addressed to Mr Ronald Pullen, Dorothy Cottage, West Mersea, but it has a George VI stamp and is probably not relevant.

The house bottom left on the north side of Colchester Road is High View built about 1949. On the other side of Colchester Road, near the road, is what Ron Green described as a dreary old grey house, owned by a Mr Brown after WW2. Was this known as Carter Villa ?
