After leaving this hospital he was house surgeon at some place up the Thames and the same in Wales and the about the same time as John he got into the Indian Army - Green the tailor of Regent St. who was either his Uncle or Cousin fitted him out with regimental uniform etc and if my recollection is right it cost £80. He married in India the daughter of one of his superior officers, I think Surgeon General White [ Emma Eliza Wood niece of Col. White - CFB ] and he died in India about 1862.
