David Gallifant - University Challenger
Among the most popular of the selective programmes is Granada's university challenge, in which one day, we hope to see Essex taking part.

However, we must make do with a Colchester representative who will represent Hertford Collge, Oxford. He is 22 year old David son of Mr & Mrs L.A. Gallifant of Straight Road, Colchester.

David was educated at Colchester Royal Grammar School and is now a second-year law student with interests in walking and literature.

He captains the Hertford College team which is meeting Queen Elizabeth Collage, London, in the first game tomorrow.
