 Henry Lyster Jameson. 1874 - 26 February 1922. 

Lived at West Mersea 1914-22 with his wife and two daughters. Died suddenly at The Firs, West Mersea in his 48th year.

Established the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries experimental station at West Mersea with the object of endeavouring to control the slipper limpet pest which had invaded the oyster fisheries.
