Robert was born 1879. On 3 Feb 1908 at Bedminster, Somerset, he married Annie Elizabeth Ball. Commonwealth War Graves Commission record his wife Annie Elizabeth Williams as living in West Mersea after his death, but no other records have been found for the family in Mersea.
