 Cudmore Grove before the days of the Country Park. Centre are the two former gun emplacements. On the side of the cliff, to the left is the Battery Observation Post and to the right can be picked out a pill box. By 2010 considerable ongoing erosion meant their remains were all on the beach.

The small building in the centre lead down stairs to something underground [Peter Rudlin] and to the right of it is a longer building which contained generators, and in 2023 is still there, used as a store.
