 Couple clash over a Nutshell. The Nutshell - 500 year old cottage owned by a baroness in Malta stands in the way of road improvements. Three members of the Highway Committee, including Mrs Lois Dawson suggested at West Mersea Council meeting that the cottage, with another called Little Timbers, be knocked down to widen The Lane. 

But Cllr Alan Dawson thought it a buccaneer decision.
