Career:HMS POMONE was a Pelorus class cruiser built Sheerness Dockyard and completed May 1899. Her boilers were so troublesome that she was decommissioned in 1904. Hulked as a training ship in 1910, she was scrapped in 1922.

8 Apr 1905 Sheerness Times Guardian (cruisers) HMS ANDROMACHE , HMS NAIAD, HMS POMONE, HMS TRIBUNE, HMS PIQUE and HMS MEDEA to be moved to River Blackwater. HMS POMONE sailed from Sheerness 6 April 1905 for River Blackwater under tow of (cruiser) HMS KENT.
24 Aug 1907 Barking & Dagenham Gazette reports 5 obsolete warships (cruisers) HMS ANDROMACHE , HMS NAIAD, HMS POMONE, HMS TRIBUNE and HMS PIQUE are laid up in the mouth of the River Blackwater.
