c1946 had been laid up in the River Blackwater for about a year and was severely infested with rats. Cleaned and took a steaming crew to Southampton where she was refitted and then spent about a year helping recover the P.L.U.T.O. pipelines.

Built as standard Empire ship EMPIRE RIDLEY. Renamed HMS LATIMER in 1943 and converted to cable laying ship. 1944 involved in laying PLUTO pipeline under the English Channel after D-Day. Renamed EMPIRE RIDLEY in 1945, ACHEAO in 1947. Broken up Sakai, Japan 4 Feb 1964
