HUMBER ARM. 20 Jan 1933 Walton on Naze reports: Lifeboat was launched in response to a red flare seen at midnight in the vicinity of N.E. Gunfleet. The lifeboat returned at 3.30am found the steamer Humber Arm of St. John's N.F. bound to the Blackwater, anchored with funnel on fire. No assistance required.
