Abstract
In this will of 1546, Rose Page, a widow, makes commendations to God, St. Mary and the company of heaven and requests she be buried in Peldon's churchyard. She leaves her property, Wolvettes, to her elder daughter, Joan. [Note 1] From the income derived from her property, 10 marks is to be paid to her second daughter, Margaret, within ten years of Rose's death. Joan is to have 10 marks within sixteen years of Rose's death and both girls receive a cow and a brass pot.
Joan is to be executrix and the witnesses include the parson of Peldon, Edward Danyell, Gregory Fokes and John Fawsse.
A brief codicil requires daughter Joan to pay her sister Margaret £4.
