Richard Dynot of West Mersea

Richard bequeaths his soul to God, the Lady Saint Mary and the Holy company of Heaven. He desires to be buried in the churchyard of St Peter in West Mersea. He bequeaths 4d to the High Altar of St Peter for his fogotten tithes and offerings.
He bequeaths a cottage and an acre of land to his wife, Denise, together with all of his other goods, chattells, debts and other property. Denise is appointed sole executrix and is instructed to pay Richard's debts and arrange his burial.
The will is witnessed by John Woodward, vicar of West Mersea, Thomas Tewall and others.

And of good memory beyng make & orden[e] this my p[re]sent
testame[n]t & laste will in forme folowyng Imprimis I bequeth
& com[m]end my sowle to almyghti god to his blessed mother
our lady saynt mary & to all the holy company of hevy[n]
& my body to [be] buried in the churchyard of saynt petyr
of westm[er]sey a forsaid to howes hie Awter I gyve &
bequeth for my tithes & offryng[es] necligently forgo-
ten or withdrawen iiijd It[e]m I bequeth to Denyse
my Wif a Cotage & An acre of lande lying in West
m[er]sey a forsaid to have to her her heire & assignes
for ev[er] It[e]m I bequeth to the said Denise my Wif all

In the name of God, Amen, AD 1512. I Richard Dynot of West Mersea being of sound mind
and of good memory, make and ordain this my present
testament and last will as follows: Firstly, I bequeath
and commend my soul to Almighty God, to his blessed mother
our Lady Saint Mary, and to all the Holy company of Heaven.
My body is to be buried in the churchyard of Saint Peter
of West Mersea aforesaid to whose high altar I give and
bequeath 4d for my tithes and offerings negligently forgotten
or withdrawn. Item: I bequeath to Denise
my wife a cottage and an acre of land lying in West
Mersea aforesaid for her, her heirs and assigns
for ever. Item: I bequeath to the said Denise my wife all
my other goods, debts, chattells and other property whatsoever
and wheresoever. The said Denise is to pay my debts
and arrange for my burial according to the power vested in her
and whom I appoint my executrix of this my present testament
