1.   In the name of god amen the 21 ti day of Aprill in \the/ fift yeare of
2.   the Reigne of our soveraine lorde James now kinge and in the
3.   yearie of o[ur] Lorde god 1607.I Willi[a]m Songer of westmersea
4.   in the Countie of Essex husbanman though sicke in bodie yet of
5.   minde & memorie p[er]fect thanks be to god doe ordeine & make this
6.   my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge first
7.   I bequeath my soule into the hands of almightie god & my bodie
8.   to be buried where it shall please god to appoynt & for my
9.   worldly goods I despose in manner followinge. Item I give
10.   and bequeath unto everie one of my brother John Songers
11.   children which are now livinge tenne shillinges a pece of
12.   good and lawfull monie of Inglande to be paide unto them
13.   within one yeare next after after my decease : Item I give and
14.   bequeath unto everie one of my wives Children which are
15.   nowe liveinge, tenn shillinges a pece of good and lawfull monie
16.   of Inglande to be paide unto them within one yeare next
17.   after my decease: It[em] I give and bequeath unto Ann Purse
18.   the daughter of Henerie Purse of little Wigborow the sume
19.   of tenn shillinges of good and lawfull monie of Ingelande to be
20.   paide into the hands of henerie Purse hir father within three
21.   yeares next after my decease and he to give or discharge for the
22.   same unto myne execut[or] It[em] I give unto Elizabeth Whint[er] the
23.   daughter of Allexander Whinn five shillings of lawfull monie
24.   of Inglande to be paide into the hands of hir father within
25.   three yeares next after my decease and he to give or discharge
26.   for the same unto mine execut[or]: It[em] I give unto everie one
27.   of my brotherinlaw John Deans children xij d a pece to be
28.   paide unto them presently after my decease: It[em] all the
29.   residue of my goods whatsoever unbequeathed my detts
30.   beinge paide and legacies discharged I give them wholly
31.   unto Alice my wife to see this my last will and testament
32.   well and truely approved fullfilled  & keptt accordinge to my
33.   true intent & meaneinge therein specifyed and to see my
34.   bodie decently brought to the grounde: And I ordeine and
35.   make the saide Alcemy wife and my brotherinlawe John
36.   Deane to be my execut[or] of this my last will and testament
37.   and I will that Alce my wife  shall paie unto the saide John
38.    Deane his brother for his paines the sume  of tenn shillings
39.   of good & lawfull monie of Ingelande and so revokeinge all
40.   foremer wills I acknowledge this to be my only last will 
41.   & testament : In witnes whereof I have thereunto put
42.   my hand & seale the day and yeare first above written
43.   those beinge wittnesses at my request.
