TitleWhite Hart Darts Club coach trip
AbstractWe have had a lot of feedback from the image published in November's edition of Mersea Life showing the happy group of Mersea Locals on a trip with the White Hart darts team by Underwoods coach. We have been asked if we can print a larger picture - so here it is.

Also our museum colleague Brian Jay has put names to faces and they are - adults from left to right - Ernie Hempstead, Hector Hewes, Doug and Barbara Stoker, Brian Mole, Ann Stevens, John Mole, Daphne Hewes (Clamp), Alfie Mole, Reg Jay, Bill Gibbons, Cyril Green, Jenny Mills (Gibbons),

Gordon D'wit, Bill Jenkins, Syd Milgate, Pinky Hewes, Ron D'wit, Brian Hart, Dickie Procter, Dabby Hempstead, John Gant, John Waring, Barry Weaver and Lucky Mayhew. The children in front are Steve D'Wit, Pauline D'Wit, Janet Lyle and Michael D'Wit.

This image is one of over 30,000 photographs and documents held on the database in the Resource Centre of our Mersea Island Museum. The Resource Centre is open on alternate Saturdays during the winter. Entry is free and coffee and biscuits are on the go. There is limited parking in the museum yard. Many people call in looking for pictures of family and relatives. Some come in with old photos for us to scan and add to our enormous collection. In most cases copies can be purchased. All are made very welcome.
