1.   All men may know by these p[re]sents that I John Livermore of West
2.   Mersea in the County of Essex Gardner being infirme in body yet
3.   of a sound disposing minde doe make and declare my last will
4.   and testam[ent] (for the settling of my estate) in such order and sort
5.   as is herein after specified viz. Inpr[im]is I give and bequeath unto
6.   Moses Livermore my brother all my wearing app[ar]ell both
7.   lynnen & wollen & all other wearing things app[er]taining to my body
8.   & alsoe twenty shillings in mony to be paid & deliv[er]ed imediately
9.   after my death Alsoe I give to Elizabeth my sister twenty
10. shillings to be paid imediately after my death Alsoe I give to
11. the people of God called Quakers in Colch[es]t[er] Forty shillings to be
12. paid into the hands of my sup[er]visors herein after named for their
13. use within one yeare next after my decease Item I
14. give to my brother Ezekiel/ Livermore ten shillings to be paid imediately
15. after my death Item I give and bequeath unto John Livermore
16. my sonn or reputed sonn w[i]ch I had by Elizabeth my wife or
17. reputed wife otherwise by her mayden name called Elizabeth Bland
18. the sum[m]e of threescoore pound[es] of lawfull mony of England
19. to be paid to the said John my sonn when & soe soone as he shall
20. attaine his age of Fourteen yeares And in case he shall dep[ar]t this
21. life within that tyme then the same mony imediately after my
22. said sonns death shall be parted & equally devided betweene my
23. said wife and my said brother Moses if he be then living if other-
24. wise my said wife to have the said sixty pound[es] wholly to her selfe
25. provided always and my will and meaning is that the said Elizabeth
26. shall first enter into a bond of six scoore poundes to my executor
27. & sup[er]visors or any two of them that she shall well & truely pay the
28. said sixty poundes to my said sonn at his age aforesaid or to such
29. other p[er]son or p[er]sons as my said ex[ecu]tor & sup[er]visors or the survivo[ur]
30. of them shall appoint for the benefitt of my said sonn & in such
31. sort as by them shalbe thought meete And for her not imbeazelling any

34. any my estate to the weakening or impayring my said sonns bequest
35. and with condi[t]ion further that if my said wife shall happen to marry
36. or have another husband that then he shall give good security to
37. my ex[ecu]tor & sup[er]visors or the survivo[rs] of them for makeing good
38. the same to my said sonn in forme aforesaid and for paying the moyety [ Note 1 ]
39. thereof to my said brother Moses in case of my said sonns dying
40. according to the forme aforesaid And upon her soe doeing & not
41. otherwise she to have the use & benefitt of my p[er]sonall estate And
42. is for the uses aforesaid And if she shall neglect or refuse soe
43. to doe my said ex[ecu]tors & sup[er]visors or any of them to enter upon
44. my estate And thereout to rayse the said sixty poundes for the
45. uses aforesaid & the same to imploy for the good of my said childe
46. And that in case of his dying as aforesaid the same may remaine
47. in manner and forme as aforesaid & to the uses aforesaid Item
48. I give and bequeath unto Mr John Milbanke of Colche[ster] lynnen drap[er]
49. & unto Jonathan Bundock of the same yeoman & to John Pollard of
50. East Mersea twenty shillings a peice for their care & paynes in seeing
51. this my will p[ro]ved & p[er]formed ov[er] & besides all other necessary charges
52. they shalbe at therein And all the rest of my estate unbequeathed
53. my debts being paid & funerall expenses discharged I give to my
54. aforesaid wife And I make the said Elizabeth & Mr John Milbanke
55. my ex[ecu]tors hereof and the said Jonathan Bundock & John Pollard
56. supervisors to whome I give full authority to see this my will p[ro]ved;
57. duely executed & p[er]formed And I hereby revoke all former wills ordaining
58. this to be my last will w[i]ch is contained in two sheetes of paper; to the first sheete

26.   shall first enter into a bond of one hundred and twenty pounds to my executor
27.   & supervisors, or any two of them, that she shall well & truly pay the
28.   said sixty pounds to my said son at his age aforesaid, or to such
29.   other person or persons as my said executor & supervisors, or the survivors
30.   of them, shall appoint for the benefit of any said son & in such sort
31.   as by them shall be thought meet. And for her not embezzling any

34.   any my estate to the weakening or impairing of my said son's bequest,
35.   and with condition further that if my said wife should happen to marry

46.   And that in case of his dying as aforesaid, the same may remain
47.   in manner & form as aforesaid & to the uses aforesaid. Item:
48.   I give and bequeath unto Mr John Milbanke of Colchester, linen draper,
49.   & unto Jonathan Bundock of the same, yeoman, & to John Pollard of
50.   East Mersea, twenty shillings apiece for their care & pains in seeing
51.   this, my will, proved & performed over & besides all other necessary charges
52.   that shall be paid. And all the rest of my estate unbequeathed,
53.   my debts being paid & funeral expenses discharged, I give to my
54.   aforesaid wife. And I make the said Elizabeth & Mr John Milbanke
