in the County off Essex yeaeman; beinge off perffect:
memery butt sicke in bodey, this second day off December
1644: doe make this my last will and testamentt:
First off all: I bequesth my Soule into the handes off :
All mighty God, who ffirst gave itt me: and my body to the
earth from whence itt was taken, to be buried: decenttly
and in Cristian buriall, trustinge through the merittes
off my deare Saviour, itt shall be raysed againe, and
being united unto my soule againe shall be seated att
the rightt hand off God: and ffor thatt Small temperall
estate which itt hath pleased Allmighty God to bestowe
uppon me a most unworthy servantt off his; I doe give
itt as Followeth: Imprimis I give unto my sonne
Jonathan Lorrance my two housen in Fingri[n]goehoe and
the lands belonge to them and all my other lands
which lieth in Fingrigohoe: Item I give untto my
sonne Thomas my house in Peldon and the kittchings
their\aioning/ [adjoining] untto: and all my lands lyinge in Peldon:
Item I give untto all my Grandchillderen Twenty
shillinges a pece to be payed unto them att the age off
one and Twenty yeares: Item I give unto my my sonne
in lawe John Anger: two shillinges sixpence to be
payed untto him within one yeare after my decease
Item I give my brother William Lorrance tenn
shillinges to be payed unto him within one year after my
decease: Item I give unto henry Seewell ffive shilling
to be payd within one yeare after my decease:
Item I make my sonne Jonathan sole executer
off this my last will and testamentt: and here
untto I sett my hande and and seale the day month
and yeare above written
