TitleWombwell Family Archive
AbstractWe have been loaned many photographs and documents from the Wombwell Family Archive. A lot of them relate to Wombwell's Menageries and were used in Wombwell's Menagerie by Elaine Barker . There are more, some relating to the Menagerie, some to other Bostock and Wombwell activities and others to Tollesbury. These images can be viewed by visitors to Mersea Museum or by Museum Members. A list of them is below and if you are a Member or inside the Museum, you will find them further down in 'Related Images'

- King's Head, Tollesbury. This is the earliest picture we have so far
- Token from G.H. Wombwell, Tollesbury
- Boy with Penny-farthing. Wombwell Family Collection, but it is not known the identity of the boy. Colchester photographers.
- Opening of the Ipswich Hippodrome Monday 27th March 1905. Mr and Mrs E.H. Bostock and Family.

 The inn sign gives the name of G.H. Wombwell - George Wombwell bought the Kings Head in 1901.  WWL_001
