1. In the name of god amen the fourth day of Februarie in the nynth
2. yeare of the Reigne of o[ur] soveraine lorde James by the grace of
3. god of Inglande Fraunce & Irelande Kinge defender of the faith
4. & of Scotlande the xlvti in Anno D[om]ini 1611 I George Clark of
5. Westmersea in the Countie of Essex yeoman though sicke in bodie yet
6. p[er]fect of remembrance thanks be to god, doe ordeine & make this my
7. last will & testament in manner & forme followinge first & principally
8. I bequeth my soule into the handes of almightie god & my bodie to be
9. buryed where it shall please god to appoint, And for my worldly goods
10. I despose in manner & forme followinge: Item I give & bequeath
11. unto Dorithie Clarke my daughter the sume of fortie shillinges of
12. good & lawfull monie of Inglande & my best Cloke, w[hi]ch Cloke I will
13. she shall have presently after my decease & the fortie shillinges to be paide
14. by myne execut[or] betwen this & the michallmas next after my decease
15. It[em] I give unto George Clarke & John Clarke my twoo sonns, to eyther
16. of them five poundes a pece to be paide unto them by myne execut[or] at
17. their severall ages of sixtene yeares and if one of them dep[ar]te this
18. lyfe before their saide age then the other to have his p[ar]te so deceasinge
19. It[em] all the residue of my goods debts or other moveables whatsoever
20. I give them wholly unto Alce my wife towardes the payinge
21. of my detts the discharginge of my legacies and the bringinge up
22. of my twoo yongest Children untill suche time as they shall Come
23. to their ages of sixten yeares, and I ordeine and make the saide
24. Alce my wife the sole execut[or] of this my last will and testament
25. And I will that she the saide Alce shall at the proveinge of this
26. my last will & testament put in bande in the Courte, w[hi]ch an honest
27. indifferent suratie at the discretion of the Courte, for the payinge of
28. my debts & legacies & the true p[er]formance of this my will,which
29. if she refuse to doe & doe not prove this my will & put \in/ <..> the saide
30. bande within twoo monthes next after my decease, <.....> then I will
31. and my meaneinge is that John Calie of Colchester yeoman shall
32. <..> be myne execut[or] of this my last will & testament & he to enter
33. upon all my goods dets & moveables whatsoever & to pay my detts
34. & legacies & bringe up my Children as is aforesaide, and then I
35. will he shall pay out of my goods \to/ hir the said Alce my wife the
36. sume of twentie poundes of good & lawfull monie of Inglande
37. w[i]thin one yeare next after my decease, And so revokeinge all
38. other wills heretofore by me made, I doe ordeine this my only,
