Ron Green says "I would date the postcard at late 1930s. I think the P.O. moved to this site [from the other side of Yorick Road] in 1939. In this picture Dick Page's name is over the door, he moved with the P.O. It had previously been Mrs Gowen's sweet shop. My dad [ Les Green] working for Clifford White built the sorting office on the north side tight on to the folly and it can be seen in this picture. The bus looks to be Eastern National."
The van extreme right (probably a green Post Office Telephones Morris van) has registration DYP... which were issued May 1937 to June 1938.
