The 40ft MARGARET ANNE CK40 - named after the wives of the owners, Brightlingsea fishermen Mr T. Sargent and Mr D. Jacobs - was launched informally, but despite any lack of ceremony, she was dressed overall for the occasion. The motor trawler, which will be used for sprat fishing as far as Boston in Lincolnshire, trawling for soles and skate in Essex coastal waters and herring catching on the Eagle sand in the Blackwater estuary, is believed to be the first fishing boat built in Tollesbury for Brightlingsea fishermen since 1908.
