School House and the garden in front of the School, Birch. You can see the door on the side of School House - it was rotting, and vanished in the redecoration around 1964. There was nothing inside the house - just a plastered wall. The door probably dated from the days when the house was divided into three.
Date not known, there is one house between School House and Gate House Farm. There are now three, the last one built on the old School House kitchen garden. If they are good gardeners there, they will do well as the cesspit used to be pumped out over the garden.
