The machine is an Essex Miniature Sewing Machine manufactured by The Essex Engineering Works, Wanstead, London E11. It was first produced in 1946 and by 1956 over 150,000 had been made. The machine is an Essex Miniature Sewing Machine manufactured by The Essex Engineering Works, Wanstead, London E11. It was first produced in 1946 and by 1956 over 150,000 had been made.
