Memorandum that about ten days after
Michaelmas in the yeare of our Lord 1660
(the name otherwise the witness hereunto
subscribing cannot now remember) George
Northey late of West Mersea in the county
of Essex being sicke of body, but of good and
p[er]fect mind & memory, & having an intent
and purpose to settle his estate did make &
declare his last will & testament Nuncupative
in these or the like words in effect. viz I
give and dispose of one & twenty pounds wh[ic]h
now lies in the hands of Mr. Monke of
St. Buttolphs Colchester unto the use of my
daughter Mary Northey & I do desire my
brother Thomas of St. Buttolphs afor[e]s--
to bring up the same child with the interest
of the same money & {th--t--n} eleven
pounds of the principall, rendring unto
my said daughter Mary the remaining
ten pounds at her age of one & twenty
years. All wh[ic]h words or the same in
effect be the {------} --Northey being of
p[er]fect mind & memory as afores[ai]d did utter &
declare in the presence & hearing of divers
credible witnesses.

Memorandum that about ten days after
