 One of the earliest photographs we have of the island. Stackie barge KEEBLE and Mr Underwood's carrier's cart on the Strood, Mersea Island. There were many small wharves in Essex where barges would load hay to be taken to London. 

KEEBLE Official No. 68314 was built 1876 in Sittingbourne and was owned in Colchester.
