U117 in WW1 was a long range minelayer submarine. After the war, she was surrendered at Harwich about 21 November 1918. In March 1919 an American crew took over and sailed her to USA. She was sunk as a target in 1921. [Wikipedia].
UB148 was a U-Boat commissioned 19 September 1918 and surrendered to the U.S. Navy 1 December 1918. [Wikipedia]. She was surrendered to USN at Harwich at sailed to USA March 1919 [www.navsource.org/archives/08/08431.htm].
