Lister 3cyl diesel 30bhp. C.10/1954. 18/7/1955 Registered on Part I Register as LAURA BRUCE CK29 (ON 185630). Remeasured as 38.9'x12.2'x5.4'; 14.59grt (4.56net).
/1975 Sold to Colchester Oyster Fishery Ltd, Fingringhoe. 2/6/1988 At East Mersea. 26/4/1989 To M.S.A. Part II. 1995 Sold as a yacht.
John Collins wrote in May 2011: The LAURA was renamed when she was registered in the Part I Register, the main shipping register, because there was already a LAURA. Initially she was just in the Fisheries Register where names were allowed to be duplicated. Mr Kerridge of the Colchester Oyster Fishery Ltd told me that when he bought jher she was spotless, "You could have eaten of the engine room floor."
